People
Everything we do is about connection – connecting people to each other, to the wider world and to another part of themselves.
The photography, videography and writing we do has always been about helping our clients to connect with their audiences in a deeper way, with warmth and authenticity.
Equality is incredibly important to us. When recruiting we look at potential and attitude. There’s far too much discrimination based on all the ways that society pigeon-holes people. We will always positively look at any application to join us in our work whatever someone’s gender, ethnicity, abilities, nationality or even your favourite flavour of cake.
And we love to collaborate with local partners – whether it’s other creatives, suppliers, or clients.
The way we work is deeply rooted in that feeling of connection.
It’s in the way we ask questions of our clients to really understand them, and the people they’re trying to reach out to and help – whether it’s a promotional video about a team building business, or a road safety video for a local authority, or a glimpse of Shakespearian life for an educational charity.
It’s also why, with Lynda Holt of Brave Scene, we created the Creative Cakestorm group to give creatives and freelancers space and time to talk about common issues and support each other.
We support charitable causes with one off donations, as well as regular donations to:
- The Gurkha Welfare Trust, having worked in Nepal and received assistance from The Royal Gurkha Rifles).
- Treesisters, to support female-led community-based reforestation projects in many countries.
- Via the Kiva funding platform we give micro-loans to small businesses in poorer areas of the world.
We love to communicate, to share, to laugh, to inspire, and to eat cake.
If we can do that every day, we are succeeding, and maybe making other people’s days just that little bit better.
To get more of a flavour of our values, why not subscribe to Charlie’s weekly email: Five Good Things. It’s about connecting people with the good things happening in the world, with lightness and a touch of humour – to raise a smile, lift a heart, and offer a delicious teaspoon of joy in people’s week.
