Have you thought about sustainable video production?

It can make quite a difference.

Who’d have thought it, but photography and video production can have quite a high environmental impact.

High tech = high impact

High tech equipment can not only have a very high carbon footprint, but also contains rare metals that need to be mined. So in our video production and photography business, to minimise our impact we only buy what we need, we buy second hand where we can, and hire or lease instead of buying. We have our equipment repaired instead of chucking it out, and if it’s unrepairable we send items for recycling – including batteries.

Transport

A lot of our work is on location, so to reduce our carbon footprint and our localised air pollution, our main vehicle is electric and we charge it using renewable energy.

Waste

In renovating our studios we’ve freecycled many items and all our waste is separated for recycling.

Giving back

We contribute to environmental charities, including tree planting, for every project we complete.

What else?

We are exploring even more ways to reduce our environmental impact. Is there anything you do that you’d recommend? We are really open to ideas on how to reduce our environmental impact. Let us know.
